It’s time to dust off those luminaries, get busy making crazy costumes, light up your masks, dress up the dog, turn on the holiday lights, and make FoolMoon magic! This year’s theme–Shine Your Light A2–affirms that our commUNITY shines brightest together, especially when times are tough.
In keeping with tradition, community artmaking begins in March, with online + at home projects, workshops, and camps for kids of all ages. An array of light-filled, surprising + socially distanced art will unfold across downtown Ann Arbor and culminate on Friday, April 9. Make plans to FoolMoon Stroll + Roll to check out the art + support our local businesses along the way.

The University of Michigan Athletics Department and U-M health professionals are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting impact on our communities. In alignment with the University’s protocols, the 2021 Big House 5K will take place as a virtual race that you can run or walk at the location of your choice.
Race registration is now closed. You can make a donation to support the race beneficiaries until April 18th, 2021. Packets will be mailed to participants beginning April 1st. Note that packets are shipped by shirt size, so packets going to the same mailing address may ship/arrive at different times.

Race Date & Awards
Participants will run or walk the 5K distance on their own, or with their family, April 16-18, 2021.
Participants will receive instructions from our timing partner, EnMotive, with instructions to submit completion time to receive a finisher’s certificate.
We’re asking participants to share photos from their finish line via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #BigHouse5K. This is not mandatory, but highly encouraged!
We will select 2 winners for each of the photo entry submission categories to receive a complimentary entry to the 2022 Big House 5K (10 winners total):
- Most Maize & Blue Themed Finish

- Best Family Photo Finish
- Best Pet Photo Finish

The Ride for Recovery is a family-oriented fitness event that will help to provide critical support to Dawn Farm by raising funds for our continuum of services to assist addicts and alcoholics in achieving long term recovery. These funds will go towards treatment scholarships for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford care. The 12th Annual Ride for Recovery offers opportunities to participate at any fitness level, with four bike rides to choose from and a run/walk/roll.
Participate virtually anytime April 25th to May 25th and ride, walk, run, or roll the route of your choice at the location of your choice!

7th Annual Dundee Police & VIPS Golf Outing Scramble
Join us for a day of fun at the Dundee Golf Club! This great course will create a truly spectacular golf experience as well as present the opportunity to meet with area police officers, elected officials, and business and community leaders!
$65 per person includes: Green fees (Golfers will play a 4-man scramble), cart, hot dogs at the turn, and a steak dinner. There will be prize chances and 50/50 raffles, as well as many other door prizes!
