W4 Country Community Calendar

It’s time to dust off those luminaries, get busy making crazy costumes, light up your masks, dress up the dog, turn on the holiday lights, and make FoolMoon magic!  This year’s theme–Shine Your Light A2–affirms that our commUNITY shines brightest together, especially when times are tough.

In keeping with tradition, community artmaking begins in March, with online + at home projects, workshops, and camps for kids of all ages.  An array of light-filled, surprising + socially distanced art will unfold across downtown Ann Arbor and culminate on Friday, April 9.  Make plans to FoolMoon Stroll + Roll to check out the art + support our local businesses along the way.

Join the FoolMoon CommUNITY Facebook group—our new virtual place to unite our creative superpowers, connect with fellow luminarians + illuminauts, make + share FoolMoon creations, get the scoop, and share some smiles.

  • The University of Michigan Athletics Department and U-M health professionals are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting impact on our communities. In alignment with the University’s protocols, the 2021 Big House 5K will take place as a virtual race that you can run or walk at the location of your choice.

Race registration is now closed. You can make a donation to support the race beneficiaries until April 18th, 2021. Packets will be mailed to participants beginning April 1st. Note that packets are shipped by shirt size, so packets going to the same mailing address may ship/arrive at different times.

We encourage you to learn more about the 2021 beneficiaries:
