For over two decades, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has offered the Shop with a Cop program in Washtenaw County for kids and families during the holiday season as well as summer at two Back to School events. Their mission is to provide children in need with a fun opportunity to engage with local law-enforcement officers and to provide financial support for these families. 

Because these four events are funded entirely from donations, the generosity of our donors is essential to the programs success. In 2023 Thanks to the big hearts of donors like you. They were able to support over 400 children with school supplies, and over 200 children and their families received gifts and support for the holiday season. 

We are graciously asking for your financial donation to make the magic happen again in 2024. Your generous support helps to provide these children with the opportunity to start school on a positive note and to make their holidays a little brighter!

Our goal for 2024 is to provide each child with:

$150 to spend at Meijer
$40 Meijer Gas Card
$100 in Gift Cards to local restaurants
Gift Cards for Domino’s Pizza
2024 Washtenaw County Parks & Rec Day Pass
Build-a-Buddy stuffed animal
A personalized stocking
A visit with Santa
New socks and underwear
New winter coat, hat, and gloves
Backpack filled with a blanket, t-shirt, toothbrush, and toothpaste
