Lambert took to social media to launch a fundraiser in collaboration with Kerrville Pets Alive to help support displaced animals, calling on her fans to join the effort by donating. In an Instagram video, the country star expressed her devastation over the floods, and emphasized the importance of providing assistance and encouragement, urging her followers to contribute and send their prayers to those impacted. “Texas needs our help,” she wrote. “As always @muttnation Foundation is jumping in to support, and if you’d like to join us please support our fundraiser 💗” As of Sunday evening, Texas authorities reported that there have been 81 confirmed deaths, with dozens still missing and unaccounted for, after parts of Kerr County were hit with flash floods following torrential rains which caused the Guadalupe River to rise 26 feet in 45 minutes.
