The Bones & The Bees is Back for another vibrant celebration where talented artisans shine a spotlight on our beloved pollinators! Kick off spooky season with a variety of talented artists and makers showcasing their unique creations – everything from captivating paintings and handcrafted jewelry to pottery and delicious treats. In addition to their existing collections, each artisan has been asked to conjure up items featuring everyone’s favorite honey-makers—the honey bee—as well as other fascinating pollinators and creatures.
Michigan is among the leading states in honey production. City of Ypsi became the 12 city in the US over a decade ago to become a certified “Bee City USA”. As a Bee City, Ypsilanti is committed to addressing pollinator issues, providing opportunities for education about the importance of pollinators, and hosting habitat restoration activities.

Heirloom apples by definition are apples that have been passed down for generations. Alber Orchard & Cider Mill started in 1890. If you walk the property at Alber Orchard & Cider Mill, you’ll note we have some very big apple trees! These trees have been here over one hundred years, and they are what you call an heirloom apple tree.
Opening Weekend, they will have a “Food Truck Rally” with an assortment of local food trucks in the store parking lot on our opening weekend. You can grab a bite to eat and then grab some warm donuts and cider from the store. What a fun way to start our 2025 Fall season!
